Privacy policy

Padel Reels is an app for filming padel matches and keeping and sharing the best points as short reels. This page explains which data we use for that, why, and what you can do yourself.
What we store
- Account: your email address and an account ID from Apple or Google, so you can sign in.
- Profile: first name, last name and, if you add one, a profile photo. Also which reels you put on your profile.
- Matches: date, club, the players and, if you add one, a link to the full match (for example on YouTube).
- Reels: the short videos of your highlights and a still image of each. The full recording of a match stays on your phone and we don't upload it.
- What you do in the app: likes, comments, saved reels and which reels you have already watched.
Who sees what
By default a reel is only visible to you and the players you played that match with. If you create a share link, anyone with that link can watch the reel, with your first name, the club and the date. Your teammates are not shown on that page, and you can turn the link off again in the app.
If you send a match link to invite your teammates, the preview of that link shows the players' first names, the club, the date and a still image from a reel.
Why
We only use your data to make the app work: to let you sign in, to store your reels and to show them to the people allowed to see them. We don't sell anything, don't show ads and don't use third-party tracking. The legal basis is the performance of the agreement with you (your use of the app).
Where your data is stored
The database and the reels are stored with Supabase. This website runs on Cloudflare. Signing in goes through Apple or Google; they only learn that you are signing in to Padel Reels. Data processing agreements are in place with these parties.
How long
As long as your account exists. If you delete a reel, it is gone immediately. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, your reels, your comments and your likes. In other people's matches only your name remains, so their line-ups stay complete.
Your rights
You can view and change your data in the app, and delete your account via Profile, Settings, Delete account. If you want a copy of your data, or have a question or complaint, email privacy@padelreels.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the data protection authority in your country.
Camera and Photos
The app only uses the camera and microphone while filming a match and for a profile photo. The app asks for access to Photos to save reels or a match, and to choose a profile photo. We don't read any other photos.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist on padelreels.com, we only store your email address and the date. We use it to email you once when the app is out, and then we delete it. Want off sooner? Email privacy@padelreels.com. The legal basis is your consent.
